Hi friends, my name is Sophie - thank you for visiting my website! I am 19 years old and I am the hidden face of the unique art based small business S E Art. S E Art was founded in the summer of 2022, after finishing my journey in education. It has given me the freedom to follow my passion for art and wildlife, something that I have been enthusiastic about since being a young child, whilst bringing delight to those who get to enjoy my work. Recently, I have altered my logo;  I feel it now represents me as an artist,and an individual, more appropriately. More importantly, it is something that reminds me of my journey as an artist so far - the owl is a line drawing of my own favorite painting, a moment in my journey where I felt proud of my work ( which is very rare for me due to being very self-critical !).

 

My Gallery is a fun, visual way of showing you some of the behind the scenes of my work, as well as other aspects which enable me to produce my work. Please feel free to check this out ! 

 

The flowers and leaves which feature in some of my work are selectively picked from my family garden, much of these plants are grown from handmade seed bombs, which my younger sister and I make and scatter in our garden to help our pollinators - this is to guarantee minimal damage to our environment. 25% of any profits made from selling these seed bombs are donated to The Bumble Bee Conservation Trust. This means that all flowers/foliage is organically grown without the use of fertilizers and without the use of preservatives in the pressing process. Therefore, many of the flowers featured in my work are seasonal. Please see my Important Information, and item descriptions, for advice on how to preserve my work.

When you receive your item, I may have used plastic packaging to prevent damage in transport. I do not buy new plastic packaging, all of this is reused as part of my best efforts to help our environment. As well as this, I may use pre-loved frames to present my work, all of these are in very good condition and are high quality (unless stated differently in descriptions). This means that these frames can have a new lease of life. 

 

So far, I have a couple of collections of work available: Original Blooms and Original Wildlife . These collections will have more variety as S E Art progresses, as well as adding new collections like my Prints and Inks
