Emerald Eyes
"Emerald Eyes" is named after the most striking part of this A4 sized original watercolour piece. I used multiple layers and shades of paint to create the detail visible in this artwork, enabling the caracal to come to life.
I have used a selection of different slow-pressed foilage - including wild flowers and bambo leaves - to add dimention to the border. I think the posture of the caracal and the positioning of my "blooms" make it seem as if it has emerged from dense vegetation to capture its prey. All of the foilage used has been selectively chosen to match and compliment the colours in the piece.
This artwork is presented in a stained green wooden frame which measures approximately, 15 inches in height and 13 inches in width.
Disclaimer:
This is a one-off original piece, multiple cannot be purchased.
The flowers and leaves which feature in my work are selectively picked from my family garden. Because of this, all flowers/foliage is organically grown without the use of fertilizers and without the use of preservatives in the pressing process. Due to this, flowers/foliage may lose some of their pigmentation over time - it is advised that they are kept out of direct sunlight and a humid environment to prevent this. However, this care advice also applies to any watercolour paintings. Please seek my store policies for more information.
