First Love

"First Love" is an original A4 watercolour which has been inspired by a scene from a documentary. These two otters were recorded floating on a lake, a mother with her young pup. To immitate the pups fluffy coat, I have used layers of differing shades of brown, with a small brush to create fur strokes. 
 
The double border I have used to offset this painting compliments the brush strokes of blue. The painting is presented in a wooden frame which measures 17 inches in height and 13.5 inches in width.

The flowers and leaves which feature in my work are selectively picked from my family garden. Because of this, all flowers/foliage is organically grown without the use of fertilizers and without the use of preservatives in the pressing process. Due to this, flowers/foliage may lose some of their pigmentation over time - it is advised that they are kept out of direct sunlight and a humid environment to prevent this. However, this care advice also applies to any watercolour paintings. Please seek my store policies for more information.
