Hare Today, Gone Tomorrow

"Hare Today, Gone Tomorrow" is an original A4 watercolour painting which tells the story of a spirited looking hare - giving us the feeling that we are in a field and have locked eyes. This impression is created by the detailing of the piece, achieved by using layers of beige, greys, yellows and sienna. However, it is further emphasised by my organisation of slow-pressed "blooms" on the border. I have created a relatively symetrical design by using a wide range of different flowers and foliage, including: ivy, meadow cranesbill, daisys and leaves. 
 
This piece is presented in a high quality stained wooden frame which measures approxiamtely 17.5 inches in height and 14.5 inches in width.

The flowers and leaves which feature in my work are selectively picked from my family garden. Because of this, all flowers/foliage is organically grown without the use of fertilizers and without the use of preservatives in the pressing process. Due to this, flowers/foliage may lose some of their pigmentation over time - it is advised that they are kept out of direct sunlight and a humid environment to prevent this.
