Love In Her Eyes

"Love In Her Eyes" is a stunning A4 original watercolour piece which captures the beauty of a mothers love, represented through a portrait of a deer and her fawl. 
 
I have used layers of differing shades of browns, pinks and grey - as well as a circular grey gradient in the background - to add definition to this piece. To create the impression that the deer are peering out from behind a shrub I have used a balanced variety of slow-pressed flowers and foliage. These include: giant daisies, buttercups and elder tree leaves. To emphasise this, the fawn has a leaf and buttercup on its ear, as if it had caught them whilst running through a field. 
 
The painting is presented in a high quality stained wooden frame, measuring 17 inches in height and 14 inches in width.

The flowers and leaves which feature in my work are selectively picked from my family garden. Because of this, all flowers/foliage is organically grown without the use of fertilizers and without the use of preservatives in the pressing process. Due to this, flowers/foliage may lose some of their pigmentation over time - it is advised that they are kept out of direct sunlight and a humid environment to prevent this.
