Curiosity

"Curiosity" is my original watercolour piece which features two inquisitive field mice. Layers of watercolours, plus a colour pallet of beiges and pinks to make these two come to life. To imitate their natural habitat, I have used variations of different field grasses and other foliage, plus the minimalistic details of the mount itself. 
 
The piece is mounted in a dark green stained wooden frame, which measures roughly 8.5 inches in width and 10.5 inches in height, as shown in the descriptive photographs.

The flowers and leaves which feature in my work are selectively picked from my family garden. Because of this, all flowers/foliage is organically grown without the use of fertilizers and without the use of preservatives in the pressing process. Due to this, flowers/foliage may lose some of their pigmentation over time - it is advised that they are kept out of direct sunlight and a humid environment to prevent this. However, this care advice also applies to any watercolour paintings. Please seek my store policies for more information.
